Vorden Development Plan, Goverment of Bronkhorst The Netherlands 2011
The town of Vorden lies in the municipality of Bronckhorst, around 10 kilometres southeast of Zutphen. Cutting right through the town of Vorden lie the road connecting Zutphen and Ruurlo and the Baakse creek, which flows down to the IJssel River. In the middle ages, Vorden was first built on the banks of the ‘Vordensche’ creek, near the House of Vorden. The town is most known for the fact that eight castles were built in the area.
