By order of and in co-operation with Paques BV, Landustrie, Mous pump installations and Wetsus, two water constructions have been realised. On floating platforms two water statues, in which the technique of aforesaid companies have been shown in a water festival named Friesland Vaart. The challenge given to me was, to design moving water in a technical construction.

The first construction consists of a screw, which turns the water up to a level of 7 meter high. From the highest point the water runs down through a bow construction. Water plays a large role in this 9 meters high construction which looks like a ship. Two enormous bows get the wind and are reflected in the water.

Technique and material had been given. The tubes gave me the idea of a water organ. This organ had to play with light, shadow, air and water. Depending on position and aspect visitors got a different view on this light and water show. By the repeating impact of the tubes and the baskets visitors get the idea of an organ. The sound of wind by the upper part of the tubes will reinforce this impact. The construction is 6 meters high and 3 meters deep.
